Today I was driving home and decided to stop at this garage called Sports & Imports. What I was looking for was a tackboard with flyers or buisness cards for car clubs in the area. The first time I came here was in early October asking about higher than 91 octane gas in the area(wich there wasnt). I saw a maroon TT tucked away in the corner of the garage kinda dusty. I had asked about it and the guy mentioned about it was in there for a tranny replacement and it belonged to some college girl and he had pointed towars the palet on the floor wich had the new tranny. Well I go in today, no tackboard but there are the same cars thet were in there before and then some. The Z was still in the same spot and the tranny was there also. I looked around a bit, no one even noticed I was there, so I decided to leave. Just before I made my way to the door, this small 4 cyl engine falls off the work bench and onto the concrete floor. I kinda paused in my track for a bit. This troll of a mechanic walks up to the engine,
"F*CK!" he shouts. The other mechanic walks up.
"Is it cracked?" he asked.
"yes" the troll said.
"F*ck it, tell her she cracked the block. I dont feel like dealing with this sh*t."
At this point I got furious. I walked up "Is this how you do buisness?" I asked. the troll guy looked scared sh*itless and couldnt say a word. The other guy picked up a prybar, and said "What the f*cks it to you?! How about you mind your own buisness!?"
"I'll make it my f*ckin buisness!" I yelled back. By this time the troll guy was on the other side of the garage. The guy with the prybar said "Get out! Just get out!"
"Yeah, okay, sure. Fine!" I turned around and looked at the plate # on the car that engine clearly came from. I walked out and got the sherrif's dept on the phone told them the deal and they had a cruiser there in like 2 min. I told the deputy what was up and the deputy tried to open the door but the door had been locked. I was like "I know they're in there, they didnt leave." The deputy said something into his radio the banged on the glass door and ordered them to open it. One of the guys opened the door and the deputy started asking questions. One of them started spouting of that I bursted in there threw punches and all this BS. I went into the door and said "Bull sh*t!" I pointed over at the engine that was still on the floor and told the deputy that that was the engine that had fallen and the proof was right there, a chip in the concret floor wher it had fallen that was obvious it was fresh. The guys denied it fell. I said "thats a lie and thats fraud." Then there was like 10 deputies there all of a sudden. looking around asking me questions and asking them questions. I filled out a police report and one of the deputies told me that this place had been sued so many times for fruad and milking out warantees that it was a wonder that they still were in buisness. They gave me 72 hour to make a dicision wether to press charges against the guy that had the pry bar. I dont think its worth it to even try because he never threatened me or made it look like he was going to hit me with it, He was just holding it, so I dont know if that will hold up in court at all and what could they do to him anyway? Whatever. Its been a stressful day and I will probably have to testify in court for the fraud thing. *sigh* I need a beer......times 30.
